The Synergy Duster is the second of what will grow into a range of Layercakes that are sewn by The Slow Wardrobe and then, with our guidance, finished by you.
The idea is that the final piece consists of a combination of sewn and knitted fabric. However, each garment will be perfectly wearable without your additional work. Our instructions give you a number of options to decide on the final look you like best. And the most adventurous may want to do their own thing and design their own additional parts to the garment we send you!
The Duster is a one-size-fits-all Layercake. As always, the design was based on fitting frames between 5 and 6 foot in height and between UK dress sizes 10 - 26 (EU 38 - 54, US sizes 6 - 22). The measurements in the size guide are taken with the garment lying flat. The front panels overlap a couple of inches when its lying flat but the Duster is designed to be worn loose and open, so there is a LOT of freedom in terms of sizing.
It comes to you with yarn (a set of the Layercake Twisted Fade) and a pattern to knit sleeves as well as the pattern for the Soepeler long Scarf (in case you prefer to keep the garment without sleeves)
In summary, you receive:
- The Synergy Duster.
- 175g of Layercake Linen 3-ply (the Twisted Fade that goes with the fabric of the Duster).
- Knitting pattern that includes instructions for both sleeves in a fade as well as the pattern for the Soepeler Scarf as an alternative to sleeves.
